I know that this has nothing to do with Disney but I also know that Disney fans are very smart people. So for those of you who own a Dyson, is it really worth the money? Is it really better than the other ones? We will be moving into a new house in a couple of months and right now we do not have much carpeting, just a few area rugs but the new house has the entire 2nd floor carpetted plus the basement so I know that my current and 15 yr old Hoover likely will not do that well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Jacqui

We moved to a bungalow a couple years back - the entire main floor is site finished hardwood, whereas the basement is 1400+ square feet of carpet. With 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a toddler - I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Dyson. In fact, DH likes to point out I use the hardwood attachment more often than I use the vac for the carpet! I find it sucks far better than our previous Hoover bagless, and Bissell bag units - let's just say neither unit was keeping up.

We've got the Dyson model out of Costco, since at the time it offered all the extra attachments without the added price. Not to mention with Costco, I can always return if I don't like it or something goes wrong...

I got my Dyson for christmas 2 years ago. I love it! I have heard they break easily but that has not happened to me. I actually enjoy using it. My only complaint is the hose does not reach as far as it claims to.
I would buy it again.

LOVE our Dyson....It works SO well...I would never hesitate to buy another one. We use it on both carpet and laminate flooring. Word of caution though....Do NOT use the carpet settings on those shag throw carpets....It does not like it very much!

I'm guessing a Dyson is a vacuum cleaner?

We had a top end Kenmore cannister for several years and that thing was awful. We finally replaced it a few months ago with a Dyson, I can't remember the model number but it is specifically for homes with pets and is purple.

Anyhow, my wife absolutely loves it! That thing really sucks!! She has recommended it to darn near anyone she meets.

Dyson's are great, but reading some of the vacuum forums out there (believe it or not there are some! Google is your friend) you can get as good, or even better vacuum without the Dyson name for less moneyr, but you'd have to do the research and trust what those people are saying.
Personally I went with another brand (was looking at a Dyson myself) and couldn't justify the price difference, and have had no issues and the thing never loses suction. Many name brand vacuums have adapted the Dyson technology.
