I need some ideas for cute favors for my best friend's upcoming baby shower-- she is having a little girl. Any thoughts????

Anything edible is sure to be a big hit. I know it's fun to think of some unusual stuff but in my experience, unedible favors end up in a box somewhere.

That IS very cute! Although I think part of me wouldn't want to use it because it has the keepsake info on it!

This is a site I use when I plan events with favors...at least to get some ideas.

I always loved the little votives from yankee candle, wrapped in netting and in a little cup. You can fancy them up with a pretty french wired ribbon and glue them on with a glue gun? That's what I for a couple of friends, and my 2nds christening.

Her bridal shower favor was candles... so I wanted to do something a little different. Plus, I am not so much crafty! :rolleyes1

When we had a shower for a co-worker, instead of favors we made decorated sugar cookies. We rolled out the dough a little thicker than you would use for regular cut out cookies (like christmas cookies). Then we used a large teddy bear cookie cutter. Once the cookies were baked we made colored icing and made it look like the teddy bear was wearing pink pants, a white shirt, and used pastel (Easter) M&M's for buttons. Then we put each cookie in a baggie and tied the top of the baggie with pink curling ribbon. They turned out really cute, and they were a HUGE hit.

I made white chocolate suckers for my BF's baby shower. Go to a candy shop. I'm sure they'll have a bunch of "trays" for suckers with all kinds of designs and everything you'll need -- sticks, plastic sleeves, etc. They are so easy! Buy good quality chocolate, melt it, and pour it into the trays. Tap it on the counter a few times to get all the air bubbles out, insert sucker stick, and put in the freezer or fridge to set. Then, wa-la! They pop out like magic. Put them in the plastic sleeve, tie them off with some pretty ribbon, and I attached a note that read, "Thanks for attending (name)'s baby shower. Your presence was the sweetest gift!" Have fun!

At my sister in laws shower, we gave out large, movie size boxes of Sugar Babies with labels on them stating that a donation had been made in the mom-to-be's name to The March of Dimes. Then we stated how the mission of TMOD is to ensure a healthy birth for all BABIES. (It was more specific, but you get the point.)

Oh, I could maybe do the homemade chocolates... maybe a chocolate dipped spoon to go with the coffee idea? Has anyone ever done that? I love the coffee... but feel like it needs a little more to it!

My DMom does this all the time, you can get supplies at Michaels or AC Moore.

Maybe I'll go wander around Michael's soon... my DD loves it there for some reason so she will be happy!

My mom had the balloon store create a hot air balloon (white wicker basket bottom with ribbon going up and wrapping around a helium filled balloon). In the basket she made diapers out of pink and blue paper napkins, using little tiny pins as diaper pins, and in each diaper she put a Mega Millions-type lottery ticket.
