Yesterday I went to Home Bargains to get nuts snacks & drinks for Xmas and noticed they had vending packs of coffee and chocolate 7 or 8 cups to a pack for 99p. I bought Aero, Galaxy & Options Hot Choc, Gold Blend White coffee and Minestrone Soup although these were a bit dearer at £2.49 for 7.
They're all stacked cup inside cup so will take up very little room in the suitcase.
Will be a far more cost effective way of having a warm up during the day and the soup will make a nice evening snack on the days when we've eaten our main meal in the park. The ducks may have to forgo the bread rolls I usually take from breakfast for them, on those days :rotfl:

I'm paying the balance tomorrow, it's not due til Jan, but I want to get it out of the way and I've decided to stick with the Cheyenne and add on the HB Plus dining plan just before we go.

Really this should leave us needing very little spending money, not a bad thing with the current exchange rate. :scared:

I bought them when I went at the begining of the month, a lifesaver, I carried a flask of hot water round and just pulled one of them out and made one up, when I needed too.

I think this is a very useful info Jill esp since our food bills were outrageous!!! I'm writing my TR at the moment and nearly crying. We didn't have the HB vouchers and I think everyone should get them, must be the best option with the poor exchange rate.

Most of our meals were over 70E. The cheapest meal (so called) was 20.90E for 3 hot chocolates and 2 Croque Monsieur :sad2:

I'm definitely going to go have a look tomorrow for my trip soon :)
Thanks for letting me know :)

Great idea Jill for those with a Home Bargains or similar near them :thumbsup2

Fab idea, I have to admit to taking my travel mug and filling it at breakfast. We took snacks from home to make the pennies stretch further aswell.

Great idea on the drinks, we have a Home Bargains next to us so will be stocking up with them. We never really fancied the half board option before but as the £ is so weak looks like we will be doing this.

Anywhere else we can buy these? We dont have a home bargains!

Sounds a good idea!

Last night I was freaking out about our trip to Spain in Feb and DLP in May. We were wrapping presents that seemed a good deal when we bought them in the summer, but £13 for 3 little cars (current exchange rate) seemed crazy. Thank god I have the Dream passport for discounts and admissions, and we are staying at the Marriott, so we can cook if need be.

Normally we buy a crate of drinks from Costco and take them with us.
