OT - I need a good facial cleanser!

2Tiggers... For face creams and also my refiner gel, I use Shiseido products and I use Estée Lauder advanced night repair eye cream/gel (day and night). I have used both of these for years because they work and don't irritate my skin at all. I have tried others and always go back to these. Shiseido does have a mild scent, but their skin care is pharmaceutical grade, so it doesn't irritate. I also just started using argan oil for, believe it or not, when I get a breakout (usually stress-related). It is amazing. I have read that this doesn't work for everyone, but it does for me. Sephora sells a trial size. Josie Maran is the brand. Happy shopping!

All cleansers I have used seem to dry my face out.
Sooooo, to wash my face I just use warm water & a wash cloth. I stopped wearing makeup 20 years ago so I don't have to worry about removing it.
Now a couple times a week I do use a sugar scrub. Just wet face & scrub with sugar, lol. I usually do that in the shower & it rinses right off leaving skin soft & refreshed.
My daily moisturizer is Aveeno for babies. Love that stuff.

2Tiggers awww thank you so much :flower3: yes its very frustrating and on top of it, it's super dry alot of good sugestions on here I will be buying and trying.

I would recommend the Cetaphil as well. I had laser stuff done on my face and that was the only thing I could wash my face in, after the procedure, according to my dermatologist. If you have very sensitive skin, I personally would be careful about using Mary Kay. I know others love it, but I have never had anything burn my like Mary Kay. I have tried many items from them and it just tears my face up.

Not sure what you'd consider breaking the bank, but I have been using Origins Checks & Balances for years. I love it. It's $20 for the large tube but a little bit goes a long way. One tube will last me at least 3-4 mos. Put about a dime sized amount in your palm with a few drops of water & mix it then apply to your face. The more you mix it the foamier it gets. I have sensitive skin too & I've never had a problem with breakouts or redness. Doesn't dry your skin either. I've pointed many people in the direction of this cleanser & they all love it.

I have been using 40 Carrots and love it! It is normally around $13.99 a bottle, but I recently found it at TJ Maxx for $5.99.

Another vote for Cetaphil. I have Lupus, and among the many unpleasant issues that come with this disease is very, very, very sensitive skin. Cetaphil is the only product I have been able to tolerate. It's a very gentle cleanser it doesn't even lather.

I dunno about your skin type, but my absolute favourite is the acai wash from Super by Dr. Perricone. I have very normal (maybe slightly dry.. I'm 17 and post accutane) skin and sadly have broken capillaries and healing scars on my cheeks. There are few stores, but usually buying this online is awesome. I believe shipping was free, and it arrived in less than a week. It's $30 for one bottle (I forget the ounces) which lasted me almost a year, using one pump at night daily. I used Cetaphil before and absolutely hated it. Yes it's cheap, but that's because the ingredients are. Yucky stuff.

I do use honey occasionally too, which is fantastic - as long as you use quality honey. I always but quality before price, as long as it has value, so hopefully this helped!

Also another healthy option is oil cleansing. Check it out!

I absolutely swear by Mario Badescu. I've tried everything, even cetaphil, and I've never found anything better. If you go to the website, you can fill out a skin survey and they'll come up with an entire skin care regimen for you. Normally, the day after you do the survey, they send you an e-mail asking if you want to try samples, and they'll send you samples of your whole regimen so you can try before you buy. They also send samples with every order. If you have an ULTA near you they sell it there. And possibly at Nordstrom. Otherwise, you have to order online unless you happen to live in NYC.

Please please please try the olay regenerist cream cleanser. I had extremely dry, tight skin for years and this stuff "cured" it.
