..because I've gone right of s***.:headache: We've had almost 8" which is quite enough to bring things to a halt here in the south. Scotland is also pretty stuck (but with twice as much) and both boys schools are out, DH can't get to work and I'm working from home on my laptop. Even DS(17) has gone off it - his friend asked if he wanted to "come and play" and he said "No, its too slippery and I want to revise". (Revise??! Since when?!)

Hope it clears by next week.

Ohhhhhh boy - you do have a lot!!! Had they predicted it, or did it take eveyone by surprise?
Stay warm and cozy inside. Although it is easy enough to say we hate it, there is a beauty in looking at it before it's plowed and dirty.

I'd wondered if you'd gotten hit when i saw the report. At least you're all safe and warm!
Enjoy it cause I don't think it will be around to long from the report I heard

They said "flurries". Well, when I got up at 6am yesterday there was about 1/4 inch and a little very powdery falling from the sky. It carrie don all day, varying from light to huge great flakes like a blizzard! DS(11) is moaning because its too powdery to make a snowman. with windchill to -7C I don't know why he wants to go out!!

we don't have ploughs on the residential roads as they're not wide enough (only the motorways and country routes with no sidewalks) just gritting lorries but the salt/grit isn't working as it relies on traffic driving over it and no-one's taking their cars out!

WOW!! A little is pretty, but too much and so cold is just annoying!

Glad you all are safe and warm!

wow flurries to 8" is a bit of a difference...enjoy the prettiness, stay warm and cozy with your boys and hope it goes away soon!

Stay inside with some hot tea and enjoy looking out your window. That's what I like to do when we get a lot of snow.

That is a lot to deal with when there isn't the equipment to do so.

that is certainly more than flurries. Feel free to keep all that lovely white stuff your side of the pond. :goodvibes

another few inches overnight and more forecast:headache: I think I might finish work early today and go to a nice cosy pub!!:goodvibes
