I found these little foot stops you connect to the back bar of your stroller to keep it from tipping back when its weighted down and the kid gets up, but now I can not locate them! Can any of you help? Have you seen these?

Thank you!:goodvibes

I haven't seen those but I just purchased the $8 ankle weights at Target and put them just above the front wheels on the stroller. Works like a charm. :thumbsup2

I wondered if ankle weights would work. I'll try that!
I have wondered about something like the OP mentioned.
Wheelchairs often have anti-tipping bars to prevent the same problem. Some seem to come with them but they can be added after wards (had to add them for a kid I used to take care of since his defibrillator always toppled the chair over if I forgot to take it off before helping him stand up. He thought it was hilarious!)

I don't know why I haven't done the ankle weights. Duh! I heard the tip a looooong time ago and still haven't tried it.

Just don't carry so much junk in the stroller and keep it solely for strolling the kids.

:thumbsup2 That is what I was thinking. If the kid is big enough to get up and down why do you need a bunch of junk hanging on the stroller? I only ever hung the diaper bag and by the time they could get up and down that wasn't there and it was never heavy enough to tip the stroller.

Ankle weights? that is the last thing I would want for Disney to push around even more weight in the heat and humidity, plus adding weight when getting on and off the bus or tram.

Ok, why is it when a person posts a thread asking for help finding a certain item they get other people's opinions about how you should manage your stroller and why a child is in a stroller who can get in and out on their own.....:headache:

I just bought a maclaren volo that we use to stroll our 4 year old around in but when I attached the after market generic cup holder/accessory tray to the handles the stroller will tip when the child stands up. Yes, our 4 year old can walk, she is healthy, God gave ger two legs that work BUT while in DC and WDW and other big areas like the zoo we like to have a stroller to hold a change of clothes, water bottles and our 4 year old who will tire of walking long before we are ready to call it a day. If my reasoning meets your approval I would really love viable solutions/responses to the original question posted. Thank you!:surfweb:

Great idea on the ankle weights. I always seem to tip the stroller at a restaurant in the mall. I forget to take the store bags off the mommy hooks before taking the kids out.

Yes, that's a MacLaren problem. I lined my Mac up with another stroller that is "Too short" for me to push and Lo, they are actually the same height. The Mac has more angle to the handles though where as many other strollers have the wheels directly under the handles so they don't tip as much. But that's why I can't push them.
The perk of having a kid in a stroller is being able to lighten the load of the walkers. The Mac tips with so much as a cup or an autograph book in the back. I often like to put my purse over the handles as I have an odd walk and my purse annoys me when I push.
I have a clear plastic caddy I hang on the back. Breezes me through security bag checks. Bandaids, my medication, camera, book and pens, napkins, etc. It would be nice for the stroller to manage that little extra.
My stroller weighs less than my newborn did. Ankle weights are not going to make it unmanageable. I'm sure it can still be folded and carried with them.
