This has been driving me crazy lately. My DSs have TONS of assembled Legos in their rooms. They do play with them, but they seem to attract dust like a magnet. How do you clean these things?

I've tried a swiffer duster, but it really doesn't seem to get into all the nooks and crannies.

I'm to the point where I'm considering getting compressed air (like what you buy to clean a keyboard) and blow the dust off. Seems like an expensive solution.

Any other ideas?

Pantyhose stretched over the vaccum nozzle might do the trick?

As long as they are not the sort that have motors attached, just swish 'em in a sink full of soapy water, and leave them to drain on a next of paper towels. It's OK if they get wet.

Great suggestions.
I think I'll give the soapy water a try.
Thanks so much!

I would sit them in an empty bath tub and use a hairdryer turned on high to blow the dust off.

I was going to suggest a can of air. It will blow the dust elsewhere of course, and you'll have to vacuum it off of something else, but it should get it out of the nooks and crannies of the legos.

My son collects Star Wars Legos and keeps them displayed in his room. They do seem to attract a lot of dust. We use dry paint brushes (small to medium) to keep them clean. :)
