OT: Help decorating preschool canvas bag

My 3yo DD is off to preschool in Sept. They give all the kids a canvas bag and tell you to decorate it. Well I do not have a creative bone in my body, so does anyone have any ideas or could you show me some of the bags you have decorated? My DD does not have anything she is in love with right now, so anything will be fair game.

Get some fabric paint in her favorite colors, and paint her hands with them. Let her make handprints all over the bag.

There are some cute iron on decorations in the crafty section at WM that would be really easy and less messy than paint, if that matters to you. They make paint markers too that you could use to write her name with. Or the ever reliable t-shirt iron on transfer paper that you can print a design from your computer onto then iron on to the bag. Check out the DISsign board in Just for Fun for Disney related pics that can be printed out.

For my daughters dance school bag I bought this package of ribbon that had a beaded fringe hanging down. I hot glued along the top of the bag. It is cute and has held up for 3 years now.

My toddlers are both starting preschool in the fall. They also get a canvas bag but it has the schools name on it.

In the Creative DISigns forum here (scroll all the way down to the bottom of the DIS forums) there are some wonderful designs that can be printed on transfer paper and ironed on the bag. There are some very cute name designs! We have used many to make shirts for our Disney trips.

The preschool my sons went to did the canvas tote bag thing as well. For theirs, I printed a bunch of Disney clipart onto iron-on transfers and applied them to the bags. It worked great! They each got a huge Mickey on one side and various other characters and their name in a Mickey font on the other. They looked awesome!
