Cindy,

I hope everything goes good for you, will keep you in my prayers. Good to see you here.

of Pixie Dust to you, Cindy. I do hope you're rapidly on the road to recovery..

Pixie dust with a little Bluegrass coming your way!

To help get your mind off of your surgery....I have a funny little Disney story to share.

KAP , Suzanneb ( which I like to pronounce Suzan neb...don't know why), and I were at the Cont. pin meet some odd Friday night. KAP was kind enough to offer us a ride to our hotels after the meet. After much trading ....we PULLED Suzanneb away from the masses and went to the car. That's where the fun begins! KAP's mother has parked the car and told KAP that it is next to a planter and 5 rows down.

Should be easy huh? DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PLANTERS THERE ARE IN THE PARKING LOT?????

We are all over that parking lot looking for a ( was it green?) car and KAP says Oh, it has a Mickey Antennea head . Yea, That helped!

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY MICKEY ANTENNAE HEADS THERE ARE IN A DISNEY PARKING LOT???

I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even look anymore. How long were we in that parking lot KAP and SUZ? Days and days? Heck, I was just greatful to have a ride since Dixie Landings was pretty far away and I think Disney transportation had stopped hours ago.
I FINALLY get to the room and my DS immediately shouts. " Mom, you've got some 'splaining to do" !!!!! I don't think he believed the lost car story :).

Hope you have a fun day!
Susan

Treasure hunt...and yes there were lots and lots of planters, Tennisnut, especially at midnight or whatever hour y'all we able to pull me away LOL....it did seem like we were in that lot for a LOOOONNNNGGG time...
Cindy- hopes this makes you laugh...I think we looked kinda funny walking around "lost" in the Contemp parking lot late at night!!!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

you guys must have had fun.....

Thanks also for the well wishes....I have 13 days to go and today was ok til about 10minutes ago....then the tears came.....boo hoo....I am being a chicken I know but I never really get sick so this is too much too soon. But in the long run I shall be able to plan things a lot easier and not worry so much about the nasty parts of being a woman any longer....:)....

Thanks for the shoulder!!!

Cindy

First off, we pulled Suzanne away at 11pm so it wasn't *that* late. Second, I have taken steps to make my green car with Mickey adornments stand out better in a Disney parking lot. It is now sporting a Maryland Terp 2002 National Champs flag!!

and keep positive thoughts...not easy I know..

I remember the night they lost the car...and it seems to be a theme of the Cont. pin meets....

Last year during the Aug pin event...so many people rented "white" cars... One of our own board members arrived in a torrential downpour parked her car, and ran for cover....but when it was time to go...she didn't remember where she parked it....and try to find a white nondescript car in that huge lot....

gosh she may be still out there looking....

Hang in there...and lots of pixie dust your way....

maybe some of the pictures, and adventures from the AK event will cheer you up later...

Awww I know it is a scary....but like you said....in the long run you will feel much better!
And the guys think being a woman is all glory......HA if they only knew!!

Funny story....hmmmmm let me think........

My son (then 4) got his first bloody nose running around Ariel's Grotto ---those water squirty things the kids play in.....SMASHED right into a little girl......

okay...so that wasn't REALLY funny.......but it was cute......

In the Gran Prix Raceway....had this brilliant idea i would ride by myself and film my son and husband in the car behind me.....well other than what we THINK is a flash of their car, we have 5 minutes of the roadway and a few random trees!

When my son got off Space Mountain for the first time (he was 7 at the time) he turned to his Dad and said sternly.....'DON"T EVER TAKE ME ON THERE AGAIN!"
Needless to say, he is now 9 and LOVES those type of rides!

And my most favorite 'out of the mouthes of babes'......we had checked into All Star Sports......just spent over $700 on park admission tickets. Off to Magic Kingdom....my 4 yr old son's first time......we went on a few Fantasyland rides......
DS looks around, amazed, and says "This IS a magical place! Everything is FREE! You don't even have to give tickets for the rides!!!!"

oh...and the reason we were in WDW in 1997 in the first place.......watching the vacation video you can order.....and the theme was Remember the Magic.....DS turns to us and says, sadly "But I can't remember the magic.....I have never been there".....Oh heck.....broke our hearts.....off to the phone......1-407..........

Are we telling funny car stories to keep Cindy's mind busy :)? Last August we took a friend with us to WDW. We arrived the Saturday of the BIG EPCOT pin event. So for our friend's first two days at WDW we either waitied in lines or walked around World Showcase on the pin hunt. On Sunday we had valet parked at the Beach Club. Mid-afternoon husband decided to take the bus & go back to our room. Guess who had the valet parking receipt?! Not me! I'm sure I sounded like a really strange lady trying to explain why I don't have the valet parking receipt. I did have my key to the car, so I toldthe CM that he could match my key to my husband's. Eventually my friend & I did get the car :)!

Cindy, lots of thoughts, prayers & pixie dust to you!!

The stories are so cute. I love the one about everything being free..what a hoot.

I have a short trip to the world planned in July and I am hoping beyond all hope that I dont have to cancel it. We are getting to stay at the AK lodge...imagine that. I would have never dreamed I would get to stay there. Cant wait. Three days there....WOW~~~ and then it will be off to Universal for a change of pace. The kids and hubby are Dis'ed out, we have been three times in less than a year and half. This trip will make four in two years....but hey I could go monthly.

I will be 11 weeks post op so should be up to all the normal activities by then....:) fingers crossed.

11 days and counting til the big event.....oh my heavens.....maybe I should cancel....lol!!! My hubby says I am broken and need to be fixed.....easy for him to say.

Hugs all!!

Cindy
