OT - GWL booking with hotelclub

Hi everyone!

I've never been to GWL and really wanted to visit with my daughters. Looking for a getaway on Canada Day long weekend, I couldn't do ratestogo because it's not last minute but ended up booking with their sister site hotelclub. Now, I always pride myself on researching everything before I commit to anything, but I was so excited by the price - $420 for two nights, compared to $600+ with GWL directly- that I booked right away which requires my credit card to be charged for the whole amount.

NOW I'm reading poor reviews about hotelclub, and people having major issues with them and finding they don't have a reservation at all when they arrive at their hotel, and I'm now in full panic mode. I've heard from others here that they've never had a problem with ratestogo, but has anyone ever booked with hotelclub for GWL? Hotelclub says that they coordinate their bookings directly with the hotel closer to the date, so even if I call GWL now to try to confirm, I have to anticipate they won't have the booking yet.

Advice, reassurance, or any insight at all is appreciated - I actually feel so ill right now.......

Did you call GWL? I'd call and tell them that you made the ressie through a thrid-party operator and you want to confirm that they have the ressie. I did that the first time we did WDW and booked a package online through a 3rd party.
