OT/Groovy Girls?

I was hoping to get some feedback on the Groovy Girl dolls -- my DD4 is dying for some of these and I'd never heard of them before. She really wants the doll house but it looks HUGE! If it's something I know she'll play with a lot it would be OK, I just am having a hard time finding opinions/reviews for these dolls. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

My two dd's (5 and 3) love their Groovy Girls. We have a whole bunch of them as well as the bed and the car, but not the house. Is that for the big groovies or for the minis? I haven't ever seen it before, but I haven't been looking at them for awhile. I have picked up a lot at garage sales, which I find much more cost effective for us. I know in the States you can get them at Target, which is awesome, but for us up here in Canada, we can only get them in specialty kid stores, which makes them ultra expensive!

I just saw a bunch of Groovy Girls stuff at Marshall's. Do you have that store near you? They had alot of stuff and for so much cheaper than anywhere else I have seen them. DD has the dolls, the regular ones and the mini's. She loves playing with them and she is 8! They are really cute and they have lots of acessories for them.

thanks, I'll have to check out Marshalls & Target next week! From what I've been able to find online they look like great dolls, not too scary like the Brats and not too sterotypical like Barbies. Does anyone know if the furniture they sell seperately fit in the dollhouses? I'm not sure about the size of it all. I guess the dollhouse I am looking at is a Kidkraft, not a Groovy Girl brand.

My three year old wants the mermaid one for christmas. She has two from her last birthday. She does play with them and they are easy to travel with and pack. Have fun!

My daughter has many of the dolls and accessories. She and her friends play with them all the time. They are so cute compared to other type collections.

The best part of the Groovy Girls collection - when the clothes come off, they are not naked plastic junk, they are still partially clothed and still cute!!! That makes them well worth the price!! We have many more than one girl needs but they are a big hit at our house!
