Just thought I'd ask. I have fair skin and like to self tan so my legs look a little better in shorts and skirts (tanning beds and sun not an option) :p I've used the Jergen's brand and while I like the look, it has a bit of a smell to it so I really can only use it at night. Anyone discovered a good self tanner that looks natural and doesn't cost a fortune? Thanks in advance!

I'm very fair skinned and i've started using the Vaseline Healthy Body Glow for fair skin which is a lotion with some of the tanner in it. It looks great and is not streaky and does not smell bad at all. I actually look like i'm tan...which is a long shot for me since I usually burn or freckle!

I've heard the one new one from Neutrogena is great and it has an spf in it. It is from their new line that has scrubs and stuff. I think it might be called Summer Glow.

Cool - I bought some of this the other day but haven't tried it. I bought the spray-on kind that is supposed to make your "tan" look even. We'll see.

I used a new Coppertone bronzer/sunless spray that just came out. Okay, the scent is a little icky, but it works like a dream! The bronzer gives you instant color that is not orange and it also shows you were you have/haven't applied it yet. The tanner is a nice glow and stays for around 5 days. I was really pleased.

Here's a second vote for Vaseline Healthy Body Glow! Not streaky and no smell. Works pretty fast. No more lily white legs :cool1:

I love L'oreal's new spray on tanner--sumblime bronze. I have been "tanning" for years, as my natural skin is so white, it takes on a blue tint. This stuff goes on light and easy, dries quickly, works quickly and lasts several days. The only downside for me--no spf.

I use it right out of the shower and don't put use baby oil in the shower on days when I'm tanning. Scrub really well to exfoliate your skin.) If you don't do this a lot, rub the tanner in after spraying. Rub all around to be sure your coverage is even. This stuff works so well, if you miss a line you WILL see the stripe. I use gloves from hair color kits or just wash my hands real well after rubbing in. Within a few hours, I'm tan. I can usually get 2-3 days from one app, depending on leg shaving. If I double up, tanning two days in a row, it can last almost a week.

Enjoy!

I really like Hawaiin Tropic Island Glow Daily Moisturizer. It is a gradual tanner, so you want to begin using it a week or so before you leave. It has a nice scent (imho).

I have been using Vaseline Healthy Body Glow. I have not noticed and streaking yet, but make sure you wash your hands real good after using. I have orange toned palms :rotfl:

Another vote for neutrogena...the best thing (and I have tried many) is that it dries in just about 5 minutes. No more sitting on a towel so I don't stain the furniture, etc. It is great.
