OT: Female issues

sorry this might be tmi but I am so confused right now. My period is two days late but I keep getting negative pregnancy tests. I am not sure what is going on. Any ideas?

Could be stress. I wouldn't worry about it until you are a week or more late. Then I would make an appt. with your doctor.

I agree. Although when I was a week late this last October, my doctor said he wasn't worried until I missed the following months period . The more you stress about it, the later it will be too. Good Luck!!

Are you testing first thing in the morning? I tested a few times at various points in the day and all were negative. Finally, I tested in the morning when I was about a week late and it was positive.

I wouldn't wory about it yet, but if your totally stressed out about it, can't sleep, can't eat, make an appointment! I'm on the 3 month BC, and it always takes me several days to a week to get mine once I'm finished. The first time it happened, I totally freeked (I love my two DDs, but I do not want another right now!), my Dr told me to just take a test just incase. Came up neg, and I got my period a day or two later.

Sounds to me like your period is just late -- gosh a totally regular period month after month, year after year is really rare.

I agree with Liz. Since turning 30 my periods have changed a bit, they went from 28 days to around 31 or so.

Yes, age can alter things a little. I use to could count my time to the hour. Honest, i was that regular. Time changes. I however would consider my body could be pregnant till you know for sure. It has been a while but with DS I got like 4 negatives and still thought I was pregnant. First dr. test was positive. Just avoid any medications, drinks, etc till you know for sure just to be on the safe side.

Seriously??? Only 2 days late, and you are already taking pregnancy tests?

If I did that every time I was more than a day 'late'... I'd be sooo in debt right now.

Seriously though, I wouldn't panic just yet. It isn't at all unusual for most women to be a few days late, or even miss a month entirely, from time to time. The more mature you become, the less 'regular' your period is likely to be.
