Hi :wave2: We're going to Paris this Xmas.

So far I checked Carlton Currency and Unicash. Unicash seems to offer the better rate for EURO dollars . Do you know any other currency exchange that offers even better rate ?

We're located in Ontario.
Thanks!

Just to compare, I paid $158.59 last Thursday for 100 Euro at the Royal Bank.

I was told it was cheaper to use an ATM over there to exchange $$ to Euro.

Those would be call euros (€)-- I've never heard anyone in Europe refer to them as "Euro dollars."

Where in Ontario are you? I had good experiences with Continental Currency exchange in Kitchener. They always had plenty of €€€€ in stock whenever I went looking for my travels to Europe a few years ago.

As for using the ATMs in Europe -- they are wonderful and plentiful and probably offer a better rate than using a credit card (which always seem to tack on an additional 1.5%-2% fee), however it is good to know which ATMs are partnered with one's own banking system. I found HSBC ATMs in the UK didn't charge me an additional fee for withdrawing £££, but I was charged by my own financial institution (however, no more than I would have been charged for using a competitor's ATM in Canada).

Enjoy your trip!

Continental Currency is in Fairview Park Mall on Fairway Rd. in Kitchener. Enter via the Canada Trust mall entrance and it's right around the corner to your right.
