Since today is Cyber Monday (did you know this? I just heard about it this morning) I'm thinking about trying to find a good deal on a new digital camera. I've been wanting one for a while because ours is large and the software is awful, it's a Kodak Easy Share, and it is totally NOT easy to share:sad2:.

Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions? How is the Cannon Power shot or the Nikon Cool Pix? I don't need anything fancy, I would like one that takes great pictures, has easy to use software, and is small and easily portable.

I really can't speak to the software because I never use it, but I like our Sony Cybershot for a point & shoot. It has a nice range of features and a lot of flexibility in the settings (I'm used to my DSLR, so I don't care for auto mode in most situations), it takes great pictures even when DH is using it in full auto, and it is small enough to keep comfortably in a pocket.

I myself just purchased the Sony Cybershot, but am usually using my DSLR. I just wanted something a lil easier to tote along for quicky pics....
BUT, I have to say that the Canon Powershot camera is very easy to use, very user friendly and the software is awesome.... My 9 year old uses it with ease and her shots are not bad!! lol

I am a Canon girl. I have several Canons and I do not feel that you can go wrong with most of their camera. I have a SD960IS that I use as a purse camera and love it. I also have the Rebel T1i and took it to the World our last trip in September.
