OT: Does Anyone Else Love the "Stay Awake" CD ?

^ I can't believe I've never thought to bring this topic here up before now.

It's from 1988, and it contains various interpretations of Disney songs from artists such as Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor.

It's style is not for everyone, (check out "Heigh Ho !" from Snow White in the audio samples from the url above) but it's a fascinating collection of music nonetheless.

Consider giving it a listen sometime !

Well... if nothing else, it's interesting. Not much my style. I'll stick with the traditional stuff.

Whoa! That is definitely unlike any Disney CD I have heard before. I feel like some of the clips offered on Amazon are a little odd, but maybe that is to give you a sense that this CD is a bit different.

Great line-up of musicians! I wouldn't have pegged Tom Waits as a Disney guy, but maybe....?
