OT: Digital Camera

I'm looking at buying a Canon Powershot A610. Does anyone have any experience with this one? I just want to make sure that I buy something decent for my vacation photos! Thanks!

DH wants this for his birthday. He researched quite a bit and is technologically savvy so I am guessing this is a good one. I would be interested though to hear personal experiences.....

we just bought a powershot a520 for work and were told from the lab downstairs from us as well as one of the people who work in my lab that it's a very good camera and really easy to use. the a520 is like one below the a610, which we were looking at as well, but it was a little more expensive than what we were looking to spend.

check amazon for reviews, the powershots seem to be awesome cameras.

The 520 was on my list but I really like the movable LCD screen on the 610...It'll (hopefully) help me get pics of the characters over the heads of others without really loosing the shot...and it can be "moved" so the LCD screen is facing the camera to help minimize damage to it...

We have the A620 and love it! My In-Laws have the A520 and are just as happy with it.
