Ok so a couple of months ago DD(4, will be 5 in November) showed me that her 2 bottom teeth were loose. She said 1 of them hurt so I figured she must have hurt herself somehow. She said it started hurting after eating an apple. So I took her to the dentist. They took x-rays and said that although she is on the early side, it looks like the roots are dissolving and it's just time for them to start coming out. He said to expect them to come out sometime before Christmas.
Fast forward to this past Sunday. DD brushed her teeth and 1 of the loose teeth is now SUPER loose. Just barely hanging on. Later in the day she was eating a popsicle and it just fell right out. She was so excited...the tooth fairy is coming...etc.
So this morning we get up and she brushes her teeth and now the other bottom tooth is SUPER loose. She was upset because it was wiggling both forward and backward and sideways and it "felt funny", but didn't hurt. I tried giving her a popsicle, but she's not much of an eater in the mornings, not even popsicle.
So she's at school now...and I'm at work. I'm wondering how long before her "big girl" teeth start to make an appearance? Anyone know? I also feel like I should take her back to the dentist (although he seemed to think everything was fine...it's not even close to December!). What do you guys think? Her regular appointment is in October.
I am so not ready for her to grow up!

Rest assured though that the permanent tooth is there. The dentist would have noticed from the xray if it wasn't. It'll take weeks for it to come in all the way though. And, if it's pretty crowded in there, sometimes they'll take months to come in. My 9 year old had a baby tooth fall out and it was over a year before the permanent one came in because she's so crowded. She's now in braces.
