OT-cost of basement waterproofing system

So.... I am currently taking a break from cleaning up water from the flooding that is happening as a result of rain in the area. Clearly I need to do something about this basement!

any idea how much a general basement water-proofing system would cost? The house is medium in size... 1700 square feet total living....

Are you talking about drain tiling your basement where they lay rock and pipes around your basement and install a sump pump? If that is the case, we had that done in one house, 12 years ago or so, and it was $2000. The basement was about 1000 sq feet.
