In October last year I wrote asking for help with my young dd who had amazingly high fevers of unknown origin every 4 - 6 weeks. Lots of people gave me great advice and I thought I would just update everyone.
We put her on a 6 week course of antibiotics on the advice of my ENT colleagues (never normally use them at all), the rationale being that there was un underlying sinus infection.
She finished them on Christmas day and then had 2 episodes of minor fevers (lasting a day each and not stopping her from doing anything) and then nothing now for 3 months. YEAH!!!!
Thanks again to everyone who offered advice.
