I know that this forum is for Disney restaurants, but I am hoping someone can help. One...this is not for me. This is for my (slightly) annoying and overly obsessed with Chinese food younger sister. We are headed down to WDW in one week and are considering coming down a day early and staying one night offsite. For some reason, my sister is insisting that dinner on July 2nd has to be Chinese. We are even open to Panda Express or something of that sort. Mall/food court type Chinese is fine, as we will probably get it to go and take it back to our room. It does not need to be gourmet. All it needs to be is clean and inexpensive and relatively close to DTD, since our hotel will be there.

Any suggestions to satisfy my sister's obsessive cravings for Chinese?

You might get better answers on the Orlando Area thread. We got chinese at the outlet mall, but it was the one by universal. The outlet by the DTD area might have one as well.

The NY Chinese Buffet about 2 blocks east of DTD on 535 is surprisingly good (though it is a buffet not carryout) :)

We ate at a Chinese restaurant around the corner (facing International Drive) from Publix in the shopping strip behind the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall. We were starved when we arrived in the area - and it was the only place that wasn't packed. So no wait - we were in. Decent, cheap Chinese food. Nothing special. Satisfied our hunger. I wish I could remember the name. From DT Disney Hotels, take 535 (towards I-4) heading toward Vineland - turn left at Vineland Avenue. you will eventually see the Publix on the left behind the Outlet Mall. Warning - the traffic can be quite heavy near this area.

I would suggest that you take a look at your hotel's website. Sometimes they list local dining so you can take a look at what is closer to you. Marriott hotels are good at providing this info - so if there is a Marriott near where you are staying, you could do a search on their website.

I know that it is not Chinese, but the Kobe restaurants have great Japanese food and come with a Teppanyaki show! Always funa nd always on my kids list of things to do.

There's a P.F. Chang's China Bistro near the Mall at Millenia. It's a pretty good Chinese restaurant. It's probably 10-15 minutes north of Downtown Disney off of I4 near the Universal area.
