Has anyone heard of this or know how well it works? My daughter wants a cell phone but we said no, she saw this & thought it was cool. It is supposed to text message, take pictures & talk with no charge. Looks like a walkie talkie with additional features. Anyone have any experience with this? TIA :goodvibes

Well, I don't have experience yet since I just bought them for my two boys (6 and 8) to hide for Christmas. One of the moms at school did say she opened the ones she bought to try them out and thought they were great. She bought them for the same reason I did, to basically use around the neighborhood.

My DD asked about these. I think they are only good for a 2 mile radius.

DD wants them too, I tried to explain that each person she wants to talk to also needs one. They are like 2 way radios (with features) our two ways are supposed to have a 2 mi radius as well.

My DD and her friend split a set of these. We've had them for about 2 weeks. They do have a 2 mile range, like a walkie talkie, depending on interference, etc. DD's friend lives a couple blocks away and they work great for them chatting back and forth, although I must say they haven't used them as much as I thought they would. Text messaging works also. The camera does not seem to work well and you can hardly make out the images. If thats important to you I would stay away from them. Otherwise they seem to fit the purpose for which we intended. Our girls are 7 1/2 so a regular cell phone is not needed.
