dont know if this is the right place to put this , but you could you please pray for the family of little Colum Canning who drowned on thursday at the explorers hotel while visiting disneyland.

i have copied and pasted the news item from our local paper


A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy from Londonderry has died in a water accident in Paris, it has emerged.
It is understood the child was in the French capital with his family and drowned in a hotel swimming pool near the Disneyland resort on the outskirts of the city.

The boy has been named as Colum Canning.

It is believed the Canning family - who orginate from the Springtown Road in Londonderry - were on holiday to celebrate the birthdays of Colum's twin brother and sister on Boxing Day.

The fatal accident is thought to have occured on Thursday, but details have only emerged.

I hope the scan goes well today, Cap'n. It must be a very tense time for you both at the moment. Hopefully you will get positive news. I think that sometimes consultants can paint a very bleak picture because they want to cover all possibilities, however remote. I will be thinking of you today.

I am supposed to be finishing sorting the house for Christmas, popping into town and doing some baking, but Lottie and I are playing with her playdoh instead lol!

My two friends who I want to ask to be bridesmaids were meant to be coming over this afternoon.... I was going to ask them then. One of them has dropped out as she's been called into work (Damn Marks and Sparks!).... What do I do??? This may be my only chance to ask my friend who is still coming as I may not see her again until summer....! Damn uni!!

Could you meet for dinner instead and ask them then - maybe go into town and meet your friend from work and then go out??

Yay! That'll be lovely, I'd love to be someones bridesmaid, I think I'll be Jack's sisters but I don't like assuming thigns (she's mentioned it a couple of times, but they're saving for a hosue at the moment)

I'm going to the jewellwers today to ask about getting my great aunts diamond solitaire reset into my engagement ring.

This is the first birthday cake I have ever made! My daughter (who is 9 tomorrow) wanted a homemade cake and she also wanted to decorate it. I made the cake and then stood back (supervising) while DD did the rest. My daughter is so pleased with it!

I am available for weddings, christenings....
