Good Evening everyone
Evening all.![]()
I also wouldn't pay too much attention to a Speech and Language referral. There is a great push at the moment to get youngsters communicating better, so if in doubt they refer - 'they' are worried about the number of children starting school at 4 or 5 who can't talk or make their needs known at all.
Some reports have shown that increasingly numbers of children are hardly ever spoken to (I can't imagine any of us chatty lot on the DIS boards are guilty of this!) - some parents dont realise that they have to speak to their children to teach them to speak. The authors of one report found that a common attitude was "they'll teach them all that when they get to school"
It does make you wonder what that sort of person has a baby for - something pretty to push round in a pushchair perhaps?
Evening Brigette.
I've had a good day, me and Kyra made some yummy cakes today. Also Hoping we can go and watch Bolt on Friday.

Oooh i havent made cakes for ages, it's not the same when they reach teenage years. The last thing they want to be doing is baking cakes![]()

I hate baking lol. I only like to lick the bowl but that seems to be Kyra's job now lol.
I hate baking too, I am a disaster at it and make a right mess. I baked a cake last year with DD and got the mix all over the cupboard doors!
Its shocking!
That just reminded me of when I was at the Disney Store a few weeks ago getting my DD birthday presents and there was 2 teenage girls about 14 cooing over the baby clothes in they were talking about having a baby so they could buy the cute clothes, I felt like directing them to the doll they sell in there for them to dress!

I've just had a shock, checked the £/$ dollar rate as i have been out all day and it's plummeted. It was at 1.48 the other day and i was waiting for it to hit 1.50.
The only word he has trouble pronouncing is 'Sorry', but I find that a common trait in most men!![]()
Evening all, boy I'm glad to be home and sitting on the sofa. I nearly crashed my car today!! Stupid black ice, my car skidded this morning and I managed to slide sideways down the road and stopped just before the roundabout!

Glad you've had a good day. Am thinking of taking Louise to go see Bolt next Tuesday (when Adam's at nursery) and then go to Yo Sushi for lunch after that. A nice girly day out - we haven't had one for quite a while now.
Excuse me we can say the word. We just use it in a different context.
Just the other day I said to OH "I am sorry that you do not understand that I am always right"![]()
