I know this is so off topic But I am getting so frustrated when trying to look at information available for certain things relating to our Disney vacation...

I click on a link for a map or dining plan, etc and as it opens- I get ready to scroll down and get a box that opens that says
"Before I can use Adobe 8.1.3 Professional I must first launch another Adobe product- such as Photoshop"
I tried that I think- I "opened" my photoshop and then tried to look at the pdf- it was still "locked/frozen" so I went to Adobe and downloaded an update- I just installed Adobe 9.0-
Restarted my pc and now- I am still getting this box opening and pdf is frozen! Grrrrrr! I don't know what to do or how to fix it! I am trying to see an updated version of the 2009 Dining Plan and restaurants that are participating (apparently everyone is getting different info) - I am trying to research myself- Some have a version not including certain restaurants and some have a version that is showing more than the average joe's link, I guess- I just want to SEE for myself what restaurants are included and which are not!
I really need some trouble shooting help as to why I possibly can't view the document- Thx to any computer program guru's out there-

I would recommend uninstalling all Adobe Acrobat versions, reboot, reinstall Acrobat 9.

If this doesnt work do a google search for .pdf file viewers... There are many out there.

Are you downloading the pdf file, then opening it with adobe, or clicking on the file to open it in a browser window? I always have a glitch with Adobe, unless I download then open the file.

Boston- I did that and still same issue

Chuck,
I am clicking the links provided here at the boards of various posters- so, I guess it is opening in a browser window...

& it does open- not as fast as I am used to but opening
Then as I start to scroll, it locks up- I have to close out and not see it and occassionally I have to actually close out my internet and either sign back on or reboot my computer...

Try right clicking and saving the file to your computer, then open it with Adobe rather than clicking the link and opening it within the browser. That seems to work best for me.
