I'm looking at purchasing a new car and I'm down to the Enclave and Cherokee.
Just wondering if there are any Diser's who own the above cars and can offer their opinions whether they be good or bad.
Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Can't speak to the Jeep but I have an Enclave CXL (for 2 more weeks :sad1:) and it's a fabulous car!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It rides like a dream and is pure luxury. Passes everything----except gas stations lol! She likes her fuel! I was hoping that Buick would come out with a slightly smaller version because most of the time it's me driving the other 6 seats around and that makes no sense. But I tell you, I will miss it..best car I have ever owned. BEST!

We are an auto industry family.

Avoid Chrysler products if you can. While they are not ALL lemons you have very high odds of being plagued with problems.

If those are the only 2 choices I would go with the Enclave without even thinking about it. We have owned many different brands including Buick and would take another one any time.

Enclave for sure. Our vehicle was totalled last month *not our fault* and we have looked at and researched a gazillion vehicles. Out of the top three we are going to choose from, the Enclave is number one for our famjam of five.

I bought a Buick Lacrosse and my wife and I agree ... its a great car! I'd take the Buick.

You will love it! Did I mention BEST car I ever had?? LOL

Just to be contrary, if you need the all weather/go anywhere capability (as in rural side roads blown in with snow drifts) go with the Jeep.

All cars are potential lemons. For the record of the 4 GM vehicles (Chevelle, Cavalier, Fiero, Pontiac 6000) I've bought new over the years, all needed new engines before 100 000 km.

My two Jeeps have been rock solid.

Our 1992 Chrysler van had over 300 000 on the clock when we traded her in.

Just my 2 cents worth.:)

Yes, any car can be a lemon for sure. My last 7 cars have been GM and all have been non problematic..nothing major in any of them thankfully. My Enclave will plow through any snow and ice..heavy vehicle and always felt very safe yet a ride as smooth as silk.:confused3

Mazda CX-9 is the best CUV under $50k on the market IMO. It's won pretty much every award and comparison it's ever been eligible for.

according to Consumer reports mag,the Enclave rates very high in it's class...I think it was #2 and a "best buy" whereas the jeep and dodge products rate very low.

We bought the Enclave and have had for 3 weeks now. It's a great car and drives very well, very smooth. Sorry, I can't share much of the technical or mechanical aspect of it. That would be my hubby's department. For me it's still taking a bit to get use to because it's much longer than our other vehicle which is a pathfinder. I kind of feel like I'm driving a boat now.

You will get used to it...I came from a car of similar size so for me the only thing I had to get used to was that the front was rounder than it seemed...but you will never look back after awhile!

ENJOY! I have.....:)

Not really answering your question but we have a Ford Flex and LOVE it. Had it 3 years now with no problems. Super comfy and tons of room!!
