Has anyone watched the Epcot fireworks from the Boardwalk? I just read that you can do this - do they pipe any sound in like at FW and the Poly? Also I keep reading that there is entertainment on the boardwalk - is this stuff that is appropriate for kids? Is it every night?

And can you really see animals from the AK lobby?

Has anyone ever gone to the evening movie at any of the other resorts? How is that?

Sorry to be OT but people on this board are so friendly and seem to know a lot about all of the little (free!) extras that one can find around WDW ...

We've watched the fireworks from the Boardwalk. It's not quite the same experience as watching them right at Epcot, though. You can't hear the sound as clearly, and you can't see the globe, either. The fireworks themselves are still spectacular!

We seen the fireworks from our room and the bridge to International Gateway too. You can't see the globe or the fire barges but sitting on our balcony with our feet up and a cold drink sure beats the crowds. We also could see MK fireworks from our room. It would be nice if the piped in Illumination sound track.

We also went to the movie on beach at Beach Club. The kids loved it but don't forget the bug spray (sand fleas were biting). In a week we are planing on doing smores and the movie.

There are observation areas all around the AKL where you can see the animals, but these aren't the AK animals - the Lodge has its own separate savannahs. Super cool place to go poke around. We went at feeding time last year and got to see the giraffes following the truck around waiting for dinner.
