We are looking into going there for 3 days next week but I can't figure out which place to stay.

Has anyone stayed at any of the resorts there? I would like to be fairly central to most things but still want a nice place to stay.

Thanks

We stayed at Willow Trace, a bed and breakfast a few years ago. My husband was hesitant but one we arrived he was quite impressed. The owners are trained chefs and the breakfasts were amazing! We had the room in the basement with a pool table and walk out to the inground pool. I highly recommend it. We booked 2 rooms because we had our kids with us. It works out really well. Try to do the Ridge Runner if you can - it was great but pricey.

My friend is an owner at The Mosaic at the Blue Mountain village. Have stayed there many times and love it. It's the most "modern" of the different properties and pretty central. That being said, the Blue Mountain Village isn't HUGE or anything so if it's location that you're most concerned about, staying at any of "Grand Georgian", "Mosaic", "Seasons", "Weider Lodge" or "Westin Trillium House" you'll be in a fine location.

Location is not the primary concern. We have never been there before and I hate not knowing where to stay. I am finding the booking website a little confusing too. Mosaic comes up at a very good price. The Westin is insane at $400+/night.

If you're getting a good price on the Mosaic then I'd say take it. Rooms are much more modern and generally larger than equivalent rooms at the other places in the village.

Do you know where a 'Village bachelor' is? I can get that or a 1 br for less than $200/night.

From what I understand, a village Bachelor is essentially like single room "Hotel" type room. There is typically a queen/king size bed, then a double size pull out couch. Note that these rooms have a mini-kitchen (stove/oven, sink, microwave and dishwasher). The 1 br are similar, it's just that the King bed is in a separate room and the main room has the pull out couch (so there is a bit of separation/privacy instead of the bed and pull out couch being in the same room).

If that's the only description then unfortunately I have no clue which specific location it would be in. I know the Grand Georgian, Mosaic and Season's have similar room-types (like I described) so my *guess* would be that they'd put you in either one of those based on that description. I'm not too familiar with the rooms specificall at Weider or Westin......

Thanks. I guess I will have phone and ask.

We were talking about it at dinner and now my DD doesn't think she wants to go:faint:
