OT--beware connections at Trudeau Airport!

To those who would usually connect at Trudeau Airport from a flight from the U.S. to a flight from Montreal to another Canadian destination -- there is massive construction at Trudeau that requires a lot of walking from the Customs area to gates for outbound Canadian flights. Give yourself a lot of time to make your connection, my suggestion would be 2 hours to be certain.

Wow. Thanks for the warning. Will this construction affect connections from Canada to the US? We have a connecting flight through Trudeau to Orlando at the end of the month.

Connections from Canada to the US are not bad, you don't have to collect your checked luggage to go through Customs--they show you a photo of your bags, but there is still a lot of walking involved. Connections back to Canada are a nightmare, you must collect checked bags, go through Customs, take your bags to airline desk, check them in again, go on a forced march through the airport to your connecting flight and pass through Security again. Fun times.
