Ok, I'm just full of OT posts this week! Anywho...I would like to know what you all think is the best straw sippy cup. I swear I have tried a ton and they all leak in some way! Last week an entire one leaked in my beloved Vera Bradley :rotfl: Granted that's a great purse for sippy leak but everything else in the purse did not fare so well. So, can you give me your recommendation? Thanks!

We like the Playtex sport cups, you find them in most grocery or drug stores. They hold about 8 to 10 oz and have a screw on lid and it has a flip up top where the straw pops open. I try to keep it upright in my bag and I have not had any leaking problems.

I didnt have any luck with the Playtex cups. In fact, I have yet to find a straw cup that doesnt leak at some point. Its worse in warmer weather. I think pressure builds up inside the cup and forces liquid out. I did switch to the Playtex (think thats it) cups that are like drinking out of a regular cup. No spout, but a little opening in the lid (you can also buy just the lids on their website and put them on the regular sippy cups). Both my kids drink from these (5 yrs and almost 2 yrs) and they dont leak very often (they will if too full).

I've always loved the Munchkin brand. I've never had a problem with leaks. The straws come all the way out for cleaning, and easily slide back in. The Munchkin cups are my favorite, hands down, for straw and regular sippies. They do feature the Nick characters, though, so I don't know how popular they will be on the DIS board!

Ill second the Playtex cups w/o straws. I used these cups fo all three of my DSs. No leaks or spills

i like the new nuby ones....

Munchkin for us. Never had a problem. Bought the four pack at Bj's for $9.99. Never had a leak!!

I just purchased a Jack Sparrow :goodvibes one from my local grocery store. The straw is retractable and is covered with a cap that snaps down ontop of it. The cap and lid snap very snugly (sometimes hard to get off). :rotfl:

Looks identical to this one from allaboardtoys:

Our very favorite was made by Gerber graduates. It is semi-insulated, has a great closure, and an easy to use straw!

We use the Nuby ones as well. As long as you don't fill the cup up too much we haven't had any problems. One time I did put in too much milk and even upright just the jostling caused it to leak a little.

What age did you all introduce the sippy staw cup to your infants? We want to use the straw only with our DB (dentist recomended) and he is 6 months old. Is he ready? I never used those with my Ds till be was a toddler.

I can't remember who makes them, but the themed ones that are disposable ( I think they're made by the first years),are terrible:mad: . Do not get them. I liked the disposable aspect and the princess theme for my DD, and had always liked their regular sippy cup, so I tried the staw version. I like them for when she isn't at the table. Well no matter what I do almost everytime I put the lid on (they snap on pretty hard) whatever was in the cup came pouring out the staw, even if I had it just barely in the top. I have no idea what a good one would be :confused3 but I strongly advise you against those.
