Wondering if anyone had any suggestions for wording an invite to a baby shower where the baby is already born. I don't want to just write Please come to a baby shower to welcome Ara....I wondered if someone has any other ideas. I am making the invites and I am planning on using a star punch along the sides.

Any suggestions would be awesome!!!

You could have a "sip and see" baby shower where you invite the guests to "sip" a fun type of drink and "see" the baby. Do a google search and click on the "images" tab to see some examples for "sip and see" baby shower invites.

That is a great idea for a baby shower but I was just looking for an idea on how to invite people since the baby is already born. I can find wording for a baby shower invite for before the baby has arrived but not for a baby shower after the baby is born.

If you google what Dolly suggested, you'll find wording for that situation, such as:

Someone special and someone dear,
someone new is finally here!

With love and grace
our family requests that you
join us in welcoming our daughter

or

He has tiny hands and tiny feet
There’s a handsome guy I want you to meet!

Please join us in welcoming
Lindsay Walker
on Friday, the fifteenth of January
at four o'clock in the afternoon

or

You've seen the pictures
and heard the news
Now come and see
Baby's Name
As he/she giggles and coos!

Oh...I understand now. I am sorry Dolly! I have never heard of a sip and see but that is what I was looking for.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I had never heard of a Sip and See either which is why I looked it up.

I hope that my post didn't sound rude or snarky. It's hard to know how to read things sometimes, and when I just reread what I wrote now, it sounded like it could have been read wrong. I was really just trying to concisely explain what I found on my search.

My mother had something similar after my oldest was born 20 years ago, because all her friends wanted to meet her first grandchild. We don't live in the same area as they do, so on one of our first trips to their house, she set up a little party to show him off.
