Well, I was just curious since it's almost the release date for the new Apple operating system. I totally can't wait to get the Snow Leopard update on my Macbook. :surfweb:

I'm waiting for the real life reviews..

I am sure it will be fine but I just want to be sure

I just saw that there was an upgrade, so why should I upgrade - what's changed/ added?

God, how many times have I been asked that question by clients.

I can't upgrade to Snow Leopard since I have an older iMac G4 with a power pc processor. Oh well, I might just have to petition for a new laptop for Christmas :goodvibes

I pre-ordered. I'm not sure I'll be able to put in on when it arrives, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I've heard good things and some of the refinements that Apple is touting sure look promising. Hoping that it's a good release.

I have pre-ordered. I have been running the beta version of Safari and it is awesome. I can't wait to install Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, I am traveling on business Fri-Mon, so I will not get a chance to play for a few days.

I have preordered the family pack. However, I'll wait for the early adopters to uncover the bugs before I update my systems.

I ordered it lastnight when I was at the Apple store for my shift.

I will upgrade right away. We've all been so conditioned by Microsoft to not upgrade early because they tend to use it's customers as bug testers on new releases. I haven't foind this to be the case in general with Apple software.

Go for it!

I am now running the world's most advanced operating system. :yay:

As one has come to expect from Apple, the upgrade was a simple affair from purchase at the Apple Store to installation completion. One interesting note, OS X 10.6 reclaimed almost 6.5 gb of hard drive space. They were not kidding when they billed it as smaller and more efficient.

Thanks Steve!

I have regular Leopard.....I think I read that this update isn't very significant over it so I may opt out for now. Any thoughts on that? (The upgrade from Leopard is only like $25 instead of its usual $50-100, so I would anticipate that is about right)

Just as a side comment, Cute Overload celebrated Snow Leopard yesterday by posting these:

Enjoy :)

Snow Leopard is set to arrive at my house on September 1st! I'm excited to get it but I just want to make sure it supports my printer drivers before I set it up.

I tend to agree. No significant user features (unless you need the MS Exchange hookup) - it's all under the hood. I'd at least recommend waiting for the first point release so they can work out the glitches.
