I know this is way off topic. I was wondering if anyone has has 4 c-sections and if so how did it go? I'm really, really wanting one more. The doctor says its doable. Could anyone give me some of their experience?

TIA:hippie:

I've had 3 and although we are done my doctor said I could also have one more because I have very minimal scar tissue. Good luck !

I've had 4 and my last 2 were only 14 months apart. I had a tubal ligation the last time since my doctor recommended not having any more c sections and I was done with having babies :)

I found that my recovery time got better with each c section so by the fourth I was feeling pretty good after 2 days or so. Still had pain but it wasn't horrible like when I had my first.

Hope this helps and good luck in whatever decision you make!!

I think this really depends on your own personal case, best bet is to ask your dr. Some women heal better than others, a good friend of mine was told it wouldn't be a good idea for her to have anymore c-sections after her second one.

I think your doctor is best able to answer that question! I had two and a tubal during the second. My doctor said it was a good thing I didn't want anymore because of the scar tissue! Good luck!

Thank you everyone. I have little scare tissue as well even after 3.

I also found that the 2nd and 3rd were easier to recover than the first as well.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm really wanting another little one and its not going away, keeps growing stronger.;)

I had a c-section, a VBAC, and then 3 more c-sections. As mentioned above, each one was easier to recover from than the one before.

And Ethel Kennedy had 5 or 6!

I had 4. No biggie. My Dr was good with everything, telling me I heal extremely well, but *I* am done and had my tubes tied.

Order of best to worst recovery: #2, #3, #4, #1.

I had 4 c-sections. It's true each one was an easier recovery than the last. I also had made the decision to tie my tubes after the fourth. During the surgery my doctor mentioned that my uterus was very thin, and if I didn't already decide to tie the tubes she would have talked to me about it then because there was no way I should have another baby. A friend of mine had 5 sections in 10 years, and ended up with placenta accreda.

I had 2 CS and had placenta previa with my second child. My doctor thought it was from the first scar tissue.

With my first I developed an infection and did not heal well and had bad scar tissue.

As long as the doctor thinks everything looks good you should be fine. My situation was just an all around mess.

A friend of mine is currently 31 weeks pregnant - this will be her 7th c-section..

I had 2 c/s and my dr said my scar tissue was minimal and she would have no qualms about me having a 3rd. DH had other ideas, though, lol!

I think an even number of kids is good! After I had my first, a girl (who looked younger than me- 26 at that time) walked through the lobby where I was waiting on the car. She said that she had 5 and was fine. She told me it got easier every time. I was so surprised how much easier my 2nd was but I also thought it was because he was early and I wasn't carrying so much baby around for as long.

You ladies are giving me hope! I go in for my second C-section four weeks from today, and I'm worried about it. With my first, the incision got infected and my recovery was *awful.* But it's nice to hear your experiences got easier with each.

It really took me a long time to start feeling normal after my first C section. This may be TMI, but I was pushing for a few hours they tried forceps, etc. I felt like DD was lodged down against my bones and it hurt. My bones continued to hurt for a long time after that.

After I had my second one, I recovered so much faster and didn't hurt nearly as much. Try to relax. It will only help!

Thanks for your encouraging words. I'll try to relax. :goodvibes

I had 3 and was cleared to do another if I wanted. I stopped there.

My oldest daughter has had 2 and is currently pregnant and having issues. She was told she has a low lying placenta and complete previa. They said at her next appt they will know if it's attached to the scare and if it is she has a very dangerous pregnancy as it can be accreita (sp?). Basically the placenta can grow out and get into the bladder and other organs. The more csec the higher the chance.
