Hi Guys,
Having some serious probs with my bathroom wall where the water is spraying up onto the drywall from the shower head, the drywall looks like it is starting to mold (ugh) :crazy2: and I am not sure how to fix it :confused3 :confused3 , so I was thinking about trying out bathfitters because they can not only put a new tub in but a new wall over my old one, however, I don't want them coming out for an estimate if it is like $2,000-$3,000...so thought I would ask some fellow DISers if anyone has used their services and about how much they charge? Thanks for any help you can give me

Yes- I used them and was very pleased- however it did cost upwards of $2K- because of the specific situation in my bathroom. It would be less if it is just adding a surround and tub cover.
You have to be careful though- because the material is acrylic and you can't use abrasive cleansers...

I haven't used them personally, however, my sister did. She was very pleased with the results, but, did tell me it was much higher than she thought it would be. Don't know the exact figure but it was close to $3,000. To me, that sounds pretty high to just redo the tub area.

If you have a mold problem...it will not be a good idea to cover it. You need to remove it...then fix the problem.

Thanks everyone....Yea think I might just check into putting up new drywall, sounds like it will be much cheaper.
