OT Anyone ski at Winter Park, CO??

We are looking into housing near Winter Park Co....going at the end of March....have checked out vrbo but wondering if anyone has recommendations?? Thanks!! Wendy

Have never stayed there in the winter but have spent two summer vacations there. We rented in the Sol Vista area one summer, grocery store City Market right across highway that was well stocked. Take a look at #25198 under the Sol Vista listing in vrbo.

No advice on where to stay but the last two weeks of March are spring breaks for many of the local school districts in the metro Denver area. I would recommend booking soon. You might check the Winter Park website as they have condos etc that they rent.

OK, totally OT - not trying to hijack - BUT, I see you are from Texas! Me too and we are heading to Colorado next week for the FIRST time!! Woo! So excited!

Thanks for all your thoughts.....I had a feeling it would be spring break time there too......but it's when we can go. I'll be searching for a place to stay over the weekend....any leads on great discount lift tickets???

We stayed in WP three Christmas' ago via VRBO. It was before I got into ebay and therefore paid full price for lift tickets. Since then I've used ebay for Breckenridge and Copper lift tickets. Some are leary of using ebay for such a purchases. Maybe I've just gotten lucky, but all has worked out well and the sellers were great with communication (I tend to send a question to the seller to see: a. how fast they respond, b. how detailed their response is, and most importantly, c. check their feedback) and & shipping.
