OT: Anyone KNow if you can still buy the small cardboard dressers

My mom has one of these she uses as a night stand so looking for a small one, have tried usual discount stores and ebay no luck. Are they even around anymore. The reason I want to get another cardboard one is that she is 89 years old and can be unsteady on her feet, she fell into this last one and smoshed it. If i were to get a wood one or even plastic i am afraid she wold hurt herself if she fell into it. Where with the cardboard one she just smashed it, she keeps sweaters in it so made for a soft landing.TIA

It has been a few years but I bought one at Walmart. I also bought the underbed cardboard storage boxes. They were near (same basic section) but not right with the plastic bins. Used to be able to find them everywhere but with all the plastic storage containers the cardboard ones are harder to come by.

They have these at K-Mart with the Martha Stewart closet organization items. They are tan with a floral pattern on them.

Yeah I looked at wal mart no have. Thanks for thinking of me too, too bad i wasn't closer oh well, I ended up getting a plastic one, not quite as high but her stuff she had in the other fit in, at least if she falls against it it won't be like ahard wooden one where she can cut her head. Thanks again

Have you tried Lowes or Home Depot?
I'm guesing cardboard has been replaced by plastic for something like this just because it's a little more durable and sturdy. Would that work or would it hurt her too much if she fell into it?

I saw them yesterday at the base exchange, so someone is still manufactoring them. I did not think to write down the manufactor, but have you tried googling this?

Yes i have tried googling them to no avail either. We ended up with a plastic one, better than wood if she would fall into it, it is a little shorter but held the things that were in the cardboard one just fine. Ihave searched high and low for these dressers, and yes it was like the one trip found on amazon, unfortuantely they are not available. Thanks everyone for your input it is always appreciated. I am still going to keep my eyes openfor one, and then i will give it to her andi will take teh plastic one, i can always use extra storage.

I went through something similar recently. I needed to find those all foam chairs that unfold into a single bed bed. They were really popular ages ago. They were really lightweight, move easily, and could be found in stores everywhere back then. Now I only found a couple of places that even carry them & most of them were in smaller child sizes.
