OT- Anyone fly BUF to Mexico/Caribbean?

DH and I are going to Mexico or the Caribbean for a week this winter. I was wondering if anyone has flown to these areas from BUF and how that worked out for them. I am not at all familiar with tour operators in the BUF area . Can anyone recommend a good American tour operator that offers good all inclusive packages out of BUF? I would have to book it on-line or with a BUF area travel agent also and am not familiar with that. I am just a little worried that I wouldn't have TICO protection but will not probably book until a few days before departure so hopefully won't have to worry about TICO protection.

Any advise/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about Buffalo travel agents but if you go to travelocity.com rather than .ca and plug in Buffalo to wherever in Mexico you can get an idea of base fares etc. You could look at Priceline or Skyauction for a hotel in Cancun, but usually these are not all inclusive. Just some suggestions in case you want to play around to get a feel for prices. You can probably get a Buffalo newspaper at Chapters or perhaps you library which may have ads for travel specials. I am not sure if the Walden Galleria has a web site but maybe you could check that and see if it lists a travel agent there. Good luck, I would be curious to know if you do end up using someone from the US.

DH and I looked into this a couple years ago when we were going to the DR and called a TA in Buffalo, she said for the DR she sends clients to Toronto as you can get a direct flight.
