OT: Anybody have an Evenflo Titan Carseat?

We had one in MIL's car for DS2, and it was fine. I didn't use it but once or twice when riding with her though, so I can't say if it was easy to use or not.

It's ok. But depending on who/what you're using it for there are likely some much better seats out there.

Is this to be a travel seat or a regular every day car seat?

How old is the child that will be going in it and how much does he/she weigh?

Anyone have this seat and like or dislike it?

As a ex- Store Manager for Babies R Us, I can tell you Evenflo is one of the better made quality wise carseats. I would put the Triumph directly behind a Britax in quality. The Titan is a newer design since I left BRU, but I never had issues with any Evenflo's getting returned for quality.

Just dont buy cosco and you should be ok, those were the worst.

Every day seat. He is 15mo and about 20#. I like that it goes up to 50# and he is only 30", so I figured he could be in it for awhile and probably RF for at least another year or so. I have 3 across so I need a narrow seat for him coming out of his Graco carrier. I asked over on the car-seat boards, and almost everyone recommended the Radian. It is out of my price range right now. The Titan and the Safety 1st Avenue were the only other ones suggested. I went and bought the Avenue and did not like it--DS sat so low in it and I could not get it tight. It did have very high harness slots though.

We have two Titan Elite for our 2 year old. One is in DH car and the other is in our minivan. I really like the seat. It does well facing both directions. We had to turn our son because his feet were pushing against the backseat, but he met the weight and age to do so.

We traded the one we registered for because it was too big and picked this one because the rating was great and the price wasn't crazy. We have the Raceway and Columbia models.

You might want to check your local Target if you have one. I got the first Titan on clearance at Target for $25! I also just picked up an Eddie Bauer convertible seat for $40, also on clearance. I asked why they were being marked down (75% off) and she said it was because they have a new model with different colors. My DS doesn't care about the color. I just want him to be safe and comfortable.

I love my Graco Nautilus. But it does not work rf. I think my sister has the titan and likes it. I dont think it fits in my moms car though so you need to watch that.

My oldest DS is in the Nautilus and we love that seat too, I wish it was rear facing!

If the Titan fits the space you have in your vehicle, if you like it and have no problem using it, and you understand that this seat will likely NOT fit your child until he's ready for a booster (in other words, at some point you're going to need another higher weight/higher top slot, shell seat) then the Titan is a fine choice. You should be able to get your child to at least age 2 rear-facing in it, hopefully longer, and that's a great thing. Good for you for knowing that's important mama! :goodvibes
