I've used Birthday Express and Oriental Trading. Birthday Express was expensive.
Oriental Trading was cheaper and it worked just fine for us. I liked the craft stuff that you could buy everything needed in one package (except for the glue). We had one birthday when everyone made a fall picture frame magnet and I took pictures of all the kids and printed them out during the party. I put the picture in the frame after the kids finished and it made a great birthday favor.
We have also made princess crowns that I got from Oriental Trading Co. and I got some of the other stuff that matched.
Plus I've ordered candy from them and it was fresh and good.
I did try to order jewelry making supplies from them and when it arrived it was horrible so I returned it all.
I've used Rebecca's Wholesale several times for birthday party goodies - they have some overlap with items sold at Oriental Trading, but also some other things I haven't seen elsewhere. Prices were generally comparable to those at Oriental Trading.
www.smalltoys.com - sign up on their site, they often send me % off emails.
I grew up with my mom buying items from this company for my birthday parties (before websites!). They now went out on the world wide web and have cute items similar to Oriental trading.

Have fun with the party! What's your "theme"?
We are planning to have the party at the Zoo. There is a zoo here in CT where they have a huge building with a carousel. It includes pizza, carousel rides and the kids get to meet and pet an animal or reptile for 20 mins. The kids and a parent also get free zoo admission for the day. My dd LOVES all animals, (not to mention the carousel). So I will get all kinds of animal stuff for the favors. Thanks for the website.
