OT: Another Camera Question

Anyone have the Canon PowerShot SD1000? I think it is a perfect fit for me-- small enough to fit in a pocket-- but with some great features. Please tell me what you think.
Also in March the new SD1100 IS is coming out......should I wait any hints tips secrets of sales on new cameras?

I really want a new camera for my April trip.

We just bought the canon sd 850 but are taking it back and getting the sd 1100 when it comes out. It will be better than the 1000 for sure. It has the image stabilazation and also a new feature of a motion dectector. This will help if what are trying to capture is moving at all! A great feature for us because we have small kiddos!

We got the SD1000 just before Christmas time and used it on our last trip. Our pictures came out terrific and it was very easy to use. I've been very happy with it.

I bought a Sony Cyber-shot 7.2 before we left for our trip, and I love it! It small and fits in your pocket real easily, it's a good little camera and makes great prints.

My mom has the 850 and LOVES it . It takes some great shots for her. We are also going to wait on the 1100 to come out.

Maybe this model will be on sale when the new model comes out.
