OT:Allure Flooring

We are looking into getting a new kitchen floor. We want to go with laminate, over vinyl. I was wondering if anyone has bought and installed Allure Flooring. What are you thoughts on it??? Do you recommend it??

I am anxious to hear opinions on this as well. The product looks great but would like to hear of any experiences with it.

I believe Allure flooring IS vinyl, not laminate.

we just installed this flooring this week and we love it! Dh and I did it ourselves.

Here is a copy of the instruction manual. I called the CS line and asked all kinds of questions before doing it. They were very helpful and nice.

Before we decided to do it we went in to HD and they opened a box and showed us how to do it and then let us practice on it.

If you are doing this I would rent a laminate trimmer from Home Depot. It doesn't mention it in the manual but we could NEVER have done it without it! It was $16.50 for a 24 hour rental.

DH is ready to do it in the bedrooms as well.

We've had friends come over to check it out and now they want to replace their carpet with it also. If you have any other questions just let me know :

We had looked at the Allure, but ended up putting down the vinyl tiles that you grout between. It was SO easy to do and everyone thinks its "real" tile if we don't tell them. You could literally cut the tiles with scissors, it was so easy. We did it last summer and it still looks like new.

We had pulled up a laminate floor before we put this down...it looked great until it got wet. Between Hurricane Ivan and tracking in water from the pool it only lasted about 5 years.
