Has anyone ever had a bag break at WDW? Debating taking Mom with us on next vacation, but she is paranoid about something disasterous happening. She carries extra supplies, but is concerned about the "what ifs"

Every one of the parks has a first aid station which is staffed by at least two RNs during park hours. There is also Reedy Creek Emergency Services which not only has squads at each of the fire stations, but also has EMT teams on duty in each of the parks.

If anything happens while she is a WDW, she is probably better off there than if something happened while she was shopping in a store at home.

(And other than family members, it is very unlikely that if she had an emergency she would meet anyone who knew her.)

I guess I would ask whether or not she has had a bag break somewhere else?
If she has, she might have some insight into what the reason for it breaking might have been.
If she hasn't, the chances of it breaking are as low while at WDW as they have been so far when she wasn't at WDW.
If it would make her feel better to have several sets of extra supplies, she could carry one with her and store the rest in First Aid. At AK and the Studios, the handicapped stalls include a sink. There are Companion Restrooms in First Aid in every park and also sort of 'scattered' in the park. The Companion Restrooms are single person restrooms with a sink and toilet. They also have space for more than one person in case the person using the restroom needs assistance. Here's a list of where to find Companion Restrooms.

We took Mom to WDW in Sept/Oct this yeas; Mom has a fickle Illiostomy.
Before we left we made up indiv. bags of extra supplies & left them at the first aide stations. I have a typed up list of moms meds & dr.s, I Put that in there also.
We made sure to stop alot to empty her bag.
Mom takes imdoium (sp) mom took extra to help thicken her stool.

We had a great time. Have fun with your mom

Yes, at home, killed a couple of bathroom throw rugs that way..She just wants to be prepared if something icky happens... I told her it won't be like there's no place to shop for anything new if she needs it, and there's always the lockers. And the "nobody here knows me" is how I rationalize going out in public in a swimsuit at WDW :rolleyes1
