WHY DID THEY RUN CAMERON DIAZ'S NATIONALITY ON THE SCROLL???

I have no idea--and did you notice they had to bring up her first role...again. She's not been doing Oscar-worthy work, I guess.

I think Reese Witherspoon looks beautiful (and I didn't like her look at the Golden Globes). Penelope Cruz also looks beautiful and I liked...shoot can't remember her name...Eddie Murphy's girlfriend's dress.

I had to put my youngest to bed, so I missed a lot of the people so far. Oh, I did see Cameron Diaz and I thought her hair, makeup, and dress were awful.

ITA! Do they not listen to what they're saying? Remember what that one interviewer said to American Ferrara at the Goldens?

The opening bit, with the nominees and their anecdotes, was hilarious! The idea of failure, the thank-yous speeches ("I'd like to thank me, but I wouldnt dare!"), and the reference to Stan Brakhage! And Errol Morris!

Ah, Ellen DeGeneres....she's doing classic Ellen stand-up. And her suit! It's so her. It's a great color, although I'm not sure the shape is flattering on her. Still, now I want one....I want a pair of white bucks, too! I like them; it's a very urban look, one that I recognize from my days in Detroit.

What's with Jack's (lack of) hair?

ITA with the Art Direction and Makeup for Pan's Labyrinth! It was a spectacular film.
