I had seen the commercial for The Fighter 5 or 6 time before I figured out that Christian Bale was playing the brother.

I am pulling for Natalie to win the award for lead actress.

I know Natalie Portman is going to win Best Actress but I am so incredibly happy for Michelle Williams! She is one of my favorites.

Disappointed Christopher Nolan didn't get a best director nomination for Inception.

SO excited for Natalie Portman because I think she's going to win but I'm excited to see Nicole Kidman and Michelle Williams nominated too. Disappointed for Mila Kunis though. Can't believe she was left out.

Also, VERY nice to see Toy Story 3 in Best Picture even though we know it's not going to win.

I'm a little upset Mark Wahlberg wasn't nominated, I love him, he's awesome in every role that he's played. :lovestruc

I would LOVE to see Natalie Portman & Colin Firth win, I am such a huge fan of both of them:yay:

Methinks that you will have a good chance of seeing that!

Hoping that "The King's Speech" wins quite a few ... my fave of the year.

Ditto.

How to Train Your Dragon was also a better overall animated film than TS3, but TS3 will win just because it is Pixar and the last five minutes made people cry over their kids and old toys. Wah.

I think it has an outside chance to surprise everyone for Best Picture. The Social Network is the early favorite, but as far as "Best Picture" goes, it was really lacking a lot of things I consider to be foundations of "great cinema." The story was compelling, and the subject concerns something that has greatly impacted the world, but, so far as cinema goes, I don't think it's Best Picture worthy.

The King's Speech, however, was jaw dropping in its scope, cinematography, costuming, and acting! :thumbsup2

I'm disappointed that Nolan didn't get nominated for Best Director and that Despicable Me wasn't nominated for animated movie but otherwise this is kind of what I expected.

This group looks very predictable this year.

In your opinion. I watched HTTYD and found it predictable, formulaic and run-of-the-mill.

Andrew Garfield was also snubbed I think plus a decent chunk of the Inception cast.

But for now my lone for sure pick is Natalie Portman but I'm quietly rooting for Jesse Eisenberg.

There are no words to express how disappointed I am that Chris Nolan didn't get nominated for Best Director. I'm still shocked and the announcement was made hours ago.

I was surprised to see Winter's Bone AND 127 Hours get a Best Pic nod. I was expecting it to be one or the other with The Town getting the other one. I didn't care for The Town, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

I really liked Winter's Bone and the inclusion of John Hawkes is a surprise. I was expecting Andrew Garfield.

As much as I liked Mark Wahlberg in The Fighter (and as much as I just plain love Mark Wahlberg), I wasn't expecting him to get nominated. I think Christian Bale's character overshadowed Mark's.

I can't wait! 33 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I just don't care for Christian Bale period lol! He is absolutely awful in the new batmans, he was ok in the movie w/ Johnny Depp (ugh can't think of the name of it now)...but from what I hear he's a real jerk.
And maybe I missed it, but what happened at the Golden Globes when he got his award and said those unpleasant things to Robert De Neiro....was is a joke? I sat there all night trying to figure that out lol. :confused3

Love me some Mark Wahlberg :lovestruc....he's got some "good vibrations" lol:lmao:
