Louise - you HAVE to see them they are fab - try and get to a switching on ceremony too, usually happens at about 6pm and it "snows" on you too! I always get a tear in my eye when we are watching them dance as it's just amazing!

hey louise its an amazing thing to see it's the only reason why we only go at xmas :)

Having just changed my holiday from January 2011 to December 2010 - I had forgotten that I would be able to see these now

Hi Louise

They are fantastic and a must see:thumbsup2

They are continuous throughout the night, but as T16GEM says try and get there for the switch on as the effect is amazing:thumbsup2

Did you decide what your doing about MVMCP?

Id definately recommend MVMCP Louise and the earlier in the month you go the quiter it is.:thumbsup2 Im notsure if you know, but you can actually go into the park from 4pm so its like having a full day at MK really for less $$$;)

What else is on the must see christmas list?

I am soooo jelious we have been going for the last (think its 9 xmas on the run:confused3) but not got anything booked yet for this year as DH business is in the building industry so lets just say its not been a great year sofar but im still hopefull;) also DH knows his life will be :scared::scared: if we have to spend it here;);)

Two years ago we went to see the lights for the last 45 mins and the streets were quiet, it was amazing walking around and not seeing many people. We did the 'find the hidden mickeys' and it was fun.

Think your boys are going to love the music:thumbsup2

Paula we are hoping to go on thurs 4th Dec so its good to hear that early in the month should be quieter as Cam really doesnt do crowds very well !!!
Im hoping for a quiet pool day that day so kids dont wear themselves out too much (but have to say some many people keep telling me we wont use the pool as its cold at this timeof year )As a back up we said we may go have a wander to find Cams star of Hope at GKTW again a quiet not too exhausting day either way !!

Our Must see xmas list (gets longer by the day ) so far is -

Osbourne Lights
Candlelight proccessional
Gingerbread House at GF
Celebration nightly snow fall
Santa at DTD
Macys floats at universal .

A maybe is the Ice display at Gaylord palms

So anything I missed ???

Shame about you not having anything planned for this year and yes id give DH hell too I mean how very dare he not take you away as you are accustomed too :lmao:

No way can anyone guess what Dec weather will be, we have had some Xmas' V. Cold every day, having to de-ice the car. Other years shorts & Tshirts every day, it varies so much. Hope its a good one for you.

One thing we did Xmas 2008 was spend more time going around the resorts, you have GF Gingerbread house but there is also Beach club Gingerbread Carousel & great trees/decs in AKL, WL & Others
You might have seen before but I have a few pics uploaded in this folder from Xmas 2008 http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y236/wayneg1/Xmas 08/?start=all

its a hit and miss with the weather in dec but 2006 we spent a few days at the pool the weather was fab for the 14days when we were there, but being scottish 16oc is roasting for us :)

I know Louise HOW DARE HE!!!!!:lmao::lmao:

You have forgot one important event - shopping:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We have done ICE a few years ago, it was nice to see something different, but I think it depends how much free time you have (we usually go for 3/4 weeks, one year managed to string it out for 4andhalf but that was before the girls started school and Phil relised how many days I had booked;);)), but I dont think it is something I would consider if I was on a 2week holiday as I think you should see all the other christmas stuff 1st.

I am sure the kids will get plenty of time in the pool, my girls usually have. We have probably only had 2 cold xmas, but there were still times throughout the holiday they were able to get into the pool, but saying that you take your chance with Orlando at anytime of year.

What dates are you coming and going?

If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me if that would be easier
