Hi, I just came across an event package for the Osbourne lights. this december will be my first trip and i plan to see the display and thought it was a walk though area of lights. Can someone please explain it to me? Is there a tram that takes you through it? thanks

The package includes a dessert party on the edge of the lights. To see everything, you still have to walk through, which means you have to leave the reserved area. There is no tram and no way to avoid the crowds if you really want to walk through the whole thing and see everything up close.

I might add that it really is a very small area and it is walk through, except that usually during the dancing light show itself the crowd is pretty still, listening to the music and watching the lights flash and change. Don't over think it. It is fun to see, but, seeing it isn't a big deal.

thanks. I got worried when i found some event package that cost almost 90.

The event package is a small fenced in area where the tram on the backlot tour used to go. Idk if you went on the backlot tour, but where the tram used to make its u-turn at the streets of America, that's where they have tables and chairs set up. Again, like all the other Disney desert packages, I think it's a waste of money.

You can sit at the tables and chairs and watch the lights. However you can do the same outside the area. And half of the fun of seeing the lights is walking through and looking at everything

No package necessary. Just walk right in and watch it. Enjoy the snow in Florida during it as well. There are side streets involved as well and I don't see how the package will allow you to even see that part. Personally, I wouldn't throw my money away on it at all unless your hungry, and even then it is a pretty expensive snack.

We have done Osborne Lights both times we have been there in December and will again this year. Just walk through. It is fun to watch the lights turned on for the first time in the evening. The street will be crowded but it is a cool effect.

Yes - I feel like the package is just a grab for cash on Disney's part. You can easily see the lights without a package. They're GORGEOUS, by the way! Don't miss them.
