Osbourne Lights Dates Announced- we'll be there!

Just wanted to share my good news! I'm so excited because the dates for the Osbourne Festival of Lights dates have been announced, and we'll be there for them! We booked our trip on Nov. 5-10th so that we could get to go to F&W for the first time, and also hoping to see the Osbourne lights too. I was able to see them last year, and they were awesome! My mom and uncle (who really loves Christmas lights) will be on the trip this time, and I just know they're going to love it! I can't wait!

Good! They'll be there for our pre-cruise November trip. I imagine it will be less crowded then.

I love the Christmas decorations at WDW and will just turn this to my advantage on why we need to add on in AKV to bring the kids back!

Did I get the dates correct, the Osborne Family lights is from November 8, 2010 -January 3, 2011?

And MVMCP dates are: November 8, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 28, and 30;
December 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, and 19

Wow, how lucky to have both during the OP's trip. Oh, I hope we can go in 2011.

My advice to all new owners is not to wait to try Disney around Christmas otherwise you are just cheating yourself. Disney + Christmas is Disney on steroids. You don't have to be there long but it is definitely worth saving some points to get down there for a few nights. Just give yourself enough time to do MVMCP, Osbourne, and resort hopping.

We go every year now without fail but we wasted many years at the beginning of our membership by using all our points for other stays.

Thanks! Are you going to MVMCP? We went two years ago, and found that the MK was the busiest that night. I thought we'd sit this year out to save a little $$$. We're also going to Universal the first day and a half of our trip to see HP, so our trip will be pretty packed already. Only a little over 3 months to go, I can't wait!!!

Looks right to me! When we booked our dates we weren't sure if we'd get to see the Osborne lights or not, so I've been anxiously waiting for the dates to be announced. We really lucked out because two years ago when we went in Nov. the lights didn't start until much later in Nov. If you haven't ever been, it is definitely worth planning a trip for. They're amazing!!! Good luck for 2011

The flipping of the switch is sometime around 6PM. The lights are lit all evening and they dance to music every 15-20 minutes I believe.

I was planning on doing Hollywood Studios on the 7th when we are staying at the Dolphin. Should I rearrange our plans?

I think the fireworks were at 9:30 last year.

And yes - Osborne lights are a must see so start rearranging!!!

From allearsnet : "The party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight; Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is at 8:15 and 10:30 p.m.; Holiday Wishes fireworks is at 9:30 p.m."

I would say that the Osbourne Lights are definitely a "don't miss" item! Good luck planning and have fun!
