Do they still have the lights on even if the park closes at 7:00? I would like to go on a certain day but they close at 7:00.

they turn on the lights at 6 pm so you will have at least an hour (most nights they stay on an hour after official park closing)

What day are you looking at? They do have special events at HS for which they close the park. If that is happening, you will have the hour from 6-7, but once the park closes, you will have to leave and you will NOT have that typical hour after park closes. That could mean a very crowded Streets of America for that one hour.

I can't remember the date, but I saw a post that there is a private event one night when the park is closing at 7:00 and the lights would turn off at 7:00 and the park cleared.

In early December? They do close 1 night for the private party for the Pop Warner participants. I wouldn't want to try the lights that night myself, if at all possible.

Do you know which night the Pop Warner celebration is scheduled for? I don't want to be there that night!

I see it closes at 6 PM on 12/9. That must be the day they are doing the Pop Warner party.

these are the nights when there will be no Osborne lights for regular day guests:
November 17th (CM party)
December 9th (Pop Warner party)
On December 18th and December 31st there will be lights but no dessert party

That night there will be no Osborne Lights. There was a night where the park officially closed at 7:00 that I read the lights will be turned off at 7:00. It was the only night with a 7:00 close*.

*It was 11/5. I think that was the cm preview night.

We were there this past Thursday. The park closed at 8, but one of the CMs told us that the lights would be on for an hour past closing. So we went to Fantasmic!, sat near the back and raced out of there just as it was ending. Took a quick ride on RnR, then got to spend a good half hour seeing the lights, and could have stayed longer.

That is correct. On most days under normal operation this is how they work. They are on 1 hour (give or take a few minutes) past park closing.
It's on the dates mentioned above (one is past) that it's different
