Osborne Lights to move to DTD?

I was at Disney this past weekend with my boyfriend's parents (and not him lol). A CM supposedly told them that Osborne Lights would be moving to DTD next year?
Has anyone heard this?

That doesn't make sense. DTD is free, you have to pay to get into HS.

I believe that Epcot was also mentioned by another poster as a possiblilty.

I hope it is Epcot because frankly FW needs something.

DTD or Epcot where in the heck would they put it?

I can say that as of now, no one knows what will be happening with Osbourne Lights next year. There is a small factoid that it took thousands of dollars to wire the Streets of America to handle the amount of energy that is needed to power the lights and the computing is very sophisticated and specific to that location. It would take a lot more money than anyone is sure that WDW is willing to pay for Osbourne to move to another location.

That was a rumor at a point but most likely not going to happen especially with the construction there not set to be finished until 2016.

Another rumor is there may be a name change to it. Len tEsta from WDW Today has been making mention Disney is planing to do a tv show on christmas lights across the US. The main reason for the name change is that after the death of Jennings Osborne the family is demanding more of a payment for the use of the name. Apparently the original deal was a weeks stay during the christmas holidays for Jennings and his family but as he isn't around any more they want some extra payment that Disney would rather not pay.

Len testa is a guest on WDW today but is actually from touring plans and the unofficial disney dish podcast, he runs those two things. And disney already has started a TV show like that last year on ABC it's called the great Christmas light fight I watched every episode of it, they a,so did a one episode halloween version of that this year. There is a family member of the osbornes on the dis they post from time to time regarding the lights. Most recently they said they have not been told by disney yet that the lights are not returning in 2015 so they believe they are at this point.

Aside from the fact that DTD is free, there's definitely no place to decorate with all those lights. Even Disney Springs finished wouldn't be ideal.

I mean, I think it would be a cool idea if there was a good location, but maybe they can move it elsewhere.
