5. The perceived right to a going away party. I have been working since I was 14 years old. Never once in those 29 years have I EVER seen a party being thrown, or a card being given to any employee of any race that has been fired. Retirements, Birthdays, Transfers and even before and after vacations - but never a "sorry you got fired" party. This poor soul is delusional.
As soon as I read "rambles" in the original post I knew Billy Madison would be making an appearance![]()

Ha! Since she wasn't actually losing her job (ending a job at a particular company doesn't usually mean you're no longer working for the temp agency), I hadn't even thought about the fact that she was essentially complaining about getting no party after being fired. Thanks for the chuckle!
Had the same thoughts on the EEOC thing, and on her lawyers -- what kind of lawyers file a brief that looks like it was half written by the Plaintiff?
As much as anything else, the shifting back and forth from first and third person POV makes the filing look even more ridiculous than it does simply based on her complaint. Like they just cut and paste using her allegations.
Let's be real here. She wanted to stay working at Disney. She was a temp, they let her go. She has no valid recourse to fight losing the job, so she cries racism in hopes of having Disney cut her a check.
I think it goes a few steps further. Her litany of complaints, although obviously embellished, make me wonder if she believed that "in a just world" she would have been hired out of her temp job by Disney, and then, once she realized it wasn't going to happen, she started keeping a list of outrages Disney committed against her. And of course this lack of job offer, as well as these slights and insults, couldn't be based on her inflated sense of entitlement, or on her own abilities (or lack of same), or on her behavior, or on just plain ol' personality clash, so obviously they must be racist.
While I'm admittedly indulging in mind reading here, my impression is that she wants revenge as much as the money.
I suggest anyone curious about the attorneys representing this lady should look at the signature lines, Google them, or type in the domain in the one attorney's email address.
I don't like to get too snarky ... so I will just let folks judge for themselves.
I do agree that the claim is rather ridiculous but keep in mind the comments that were made by her co workers. The article states that,
"The lawsuit alleges that white employees asked her if she ate chitterlings, made jokes about African bees in front of her, and asked her if a “roach crawled in her ear” when she was absent for an ear infection."
Once I heard this in the podcast today, I immediately placed myself in her shoes, albeit spiked pumps. Imagine hearing these comments that may have been tinged with superiority? Imagine people assumed you lived in a roach infested home simply because of the color of your skin? Perhaps she was the only one that was the brunt of the jokes, or perhaps she was not?. Regardless, Once these comments were made, it may have muddied every other experience she had on the job. As ridiculous as we may see it, we may not represent ethnic groups that have been discriminated against in our American history. Pete was right in pointing it out. This may seem fishy but we must realize that it may be based on something that we may be fortunate to never have experienced.
she was a temp hired by an outside company to fill the job temporarily at disney> We only have what she says as regards to whether there were other people, there other then "white" people working there. Was she the only temp? Was she the only person of color working there?
